Beach day with the Lino kids

These last two weeks I've had the the bishop's two youngest kids, Ho'okano (13) and Makamai (11), hanging out with me. Their mom was teaching summer school and the kids were getting bored just staying at home. They are great kids and are really helpful with the kids. Friday we decided to take a little trip Kukio Beach. It is perfect for the kids because there are no waves.

Makamai taking Gabriella for a ride
Olsen has been having a blast playing scooters with Ho'okano.  They are even taking them to the beach.
Gabriella wanted to eat her chips in the water.  I think she ate more sand and water than chips.

We need to get Olsen his own pair of googles.
He is lovin' swimming underwater.  I'm pretty impressed

Whatever Ho'o was doing, Olsen wanted to do.  They are buddies
Gabriella just liked hanging out in the shallow and floating around
Makamai.

Gabriella made a little doo-doo in her swimmers so we took them off.  I love her little white bum.
She also loved throwing sand in the water

Some more floating around

Mr. Fixit and grass

Olsen is ready to be my fix-it man. Good thing because his dad is getting kind of old (j/k Byron, we love you)

Very serious work
The grass is slowly growing, but it's getting there.  I just reseeded some bare spot yesterday.  Hopefully we can get a swing set next month

Hilton for the day.

Last week I had Rachel and Willie's two youngest girls and made a day at the Hilton.  Here are the million and one of us riding the train (three times), riding the boats (four times), watching the dolphins and eating treats.  It was some good times and the kids were TIRED afterward.  Now I'm too tired to write anymore, but we are all happy and good here in Hawaii.

Bubble bath

I don't know way, but it has taken me this long to buy bubble bath for the kids. It's not like I'm against it or anything, just never thought of it. Boy, do the kids LOVE it.

We saw Kong Fu Panda on Friday and Olsen is now a crazy kong fu master.  During the movie he had to stand in the aisle and kick and punch with the panda.  Yeah, like my kid needs anymore help to be a crazy boy.  Today he was asking for the bear "pow" (doing the kong fu hand motions) movie today.  Sorry kid, not for 4 to 6 months when it comes out on DVD.

Throne of his own

The other day I was shopping at Costco and as you all know, they pack your food in big boxes.  Well this one is a snickers box that is shaped like a mini little sofa.  Olsen placed it on the coffee table, put a pillow in it and then laid his blanket over.  A perfect little throne for a three year old to watch tv on.

He also liked to cuddle on it.

Charlie

Friday Charlie and his crew came over to put in a new sprinkler system for our front lawn. Olsen couldn't have been happier. He was following his every foot step. It was pretty cute. He he is helping out with is own shovel.  Please note is working boots too.....  The kid is too cute sometimes.  :)
