Silly Olsen

This boy makes me laugh. The other day he wanted to wear his boots, hat, gloves and sunglasses. It was so funny I had to take some pictures!!

Painting the beams

My poor body. I was way stupid and over did it yesterday (I've learned my lesson and will not do that again), but all beams are painted and some are hung. The kids were good in the morning and than grandma and grandpa picked them up to go to a birthday party.

Olsen thought it was yummy
It was a beautiful, sunny hot day.  Perfect for painting.
Here is a picture of it this morning.  The post are primed, but those will be painted a light brown where the pergola will be white.  It coming together...........

Easter Saturday at the Frechette's

Our neighbors celebrated Easter on Saturday because the dad is a fireman and had to work on Sunday. We were invited with two other families and everyone had great time.

Water time

I noticed that most of my family is under some crazy snow in Utah today so I thought I would show what we were doing today.  Enjoying the play pool.

My bunny is cuter than your bunny

At school yesterday Olsen became a little bunny rabbit. He loved it and I had to force him to wash is face before bed. So cute.

Here he is hopping around like a bunny

Just a little bit more and then on to the pergola.......  I bought primer, so I will be painting non-stop soon.
My cute little ones.

Baby girl's Nursery

So the nursery is ready, where's baby....? That's okay, baby still needs a few more weeks to cook.
In case you can't tell, those are butterflies on the wall.  I didn't want to hang anything over the crib, so I thought these stickers were perfect.
That bassinet will actually be coming into our room and the futon that our friend is borrowing will go in it's place.  But I thought it was cute how it is set right now.

Olsen Riding His Bike For The First Time

Olsen begged for me to take the training wheels off his bike so I eventually relented expecting a few days of a frustrated little boy. It turns out all he needed was two minutes. Literally.

Another deck update

Friday night Olsen and Gabriella had a sleep over with Grandma and Grandpa and all their Hilo cousins. I was told the kids did great and had a lot of fun. Byron and I had a nice night off and had dinner with our friends (don't remember the last time we did that) Anyway, on Saturday Grandpa brought the kids home and helped Byron lay some of the decking down. I think Byron thought it would be pretty quick and would be able to finish most of it in one day. Well, it's very time consuming to screw down every plank, so they didn't get has far as they thought. But it still looks great.

Olsen helping hammering a nail.  That nail only use was to keep Olsen occupied while Daddy and Grandma did the work.
Evan making sure the job gets done right.
We are about a 4th or so of the way done.

Deck

I love my husband. He has been working so hard every weekend on this deck. Yesterday he put up all the beams for the pergola.  Next week he hopes to put down most of the decking and after that he will work on the pergola.  And then the painting will begin.  That is going to be not so fun.

Olsen with some tool "helping" daddy.
All four post up!!  I can't wait.
